Patterns along the top of the Vault were derived from existing item iconography and built within a consistent grid.

Likewise, the background graphics for category buttons were based on their corresponding icons. The Weapon graphic is rectangular, Armor round and sharp, and the equipment pattern is comprised of diamonds. Because the Vault houses all of these, the first Vault pattern is a combination of these three shapes.
